Doctor Chong Kim is a graduate of Penn State University and Temple University School of Medicine. He completed residency and fellowship trainings in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at UPMC-Mercy and West Penn Hospital, respectively.
Following his training, he was a faculty member at West Virginia University School of Medicine, in the Pain Management Division. He was an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery, and continues to hold a clinical faculty position. Dr. Kim also served as chair of the Institutional Review Board at West Virginia University.
Dr. Kim is involved in a variety of pain-related research. He has published extensively and has served as principal investigator on numerous clinical trials. He is on the editorial board of Pain Physician and is a reviewer for many pain-related journals.
